1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies make it possible to store or retrieve information on your device. The browser’s local storage serves a similar purpose and is also covered by this policy. Some technologies are needed to provide the service you ask for; those that require consent can only be used once it has been obtained.
This policy applies to the website edugenia.com and the platform app.edugenia.com, both run by Innovaforma Canarias, S.L. It describes the cookies and other technologies that store or retrieve information in your browser.
On the public website edugenia.com we also use an audience measurement tool that requires your consent. Its provider is named in section 3 and how your choice is handled is explained in section 4. This tool is not used on the platform app.edugenia.com.
2. What we store in your browser
The table sums up what we store in your browser, what for and for how long. The storage is Edugenia’s own, except for the sign-in service’s and the audience measurement tool’s, whose providers are named in section 3.
3. Providers and external services
We use Google Firebase to manage access to your account. Its sign-in storage and technical logs are described in the table above. You can find more details in its privacy and security information.
Payments are completed on an external page of the payment provider. An external page also opens if you choose to sign in with an account from another service. On those pages, see the cookie and privacy information provided by the service concerned.
To measure the audience of the public website edugenia.com we use Google Analytics 4, which is loaded through the Google tag (googletagmanager.com/gtag/js). Google processes this data as a processor on Edugenia’s behalf and may process it outside the European Economic Area, relying on its standard contractual clauses. Advertising features and Google Signals are switched off in our property, so the measurement data is not used for advertising purposes. Measurement data is kept for 14 months in Google Analytics. You can find more details in Google’s information on how it uses data on its partners’ sites.
4. Managing the notice
The notice lets you accept or reject audience measurement. Accepting and rejecting are equally accessible in the notice. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage for 13 months, with the categories chosen, when you chose and the version of the notice. Once that time has passed, or when this policy changes, the notice asks you again.
If your browser blocks storage, an acceptance applies only to that visit and the notice asks you again on the next one. The saved entry is replaced when you change your choice, and deleted when you clear the site’s data.
Your cookie choice does not mean accepting the terms of use. Advertising cookies are not used on this site and are not part of what you can accept.
5. How to clear the information
You can delete cookies and other site data from your browser settings. When you do, the notice will ask you for your choice again and your saved choice, the preferences, the work data and the measurement cookies stored locally will be deleted. You may also be signed out. Clearing this data does not in itself delete your account or the content saved in your academy.

6. Updates and questions
We may update this policy when the cookies or similar technologies used, their purposes, their providers or the applicable rules change. We will publish the updated version on this page with the date of its revision.
On the public website edugenia.com, the audience measurement tool loads when the page opens with every category denied. Until you choose, it writes no cookies and no identifiers in your browser and does not identify you; it only sends cookieless signals to Google. When you accept, measurement storage is granted; the advertising categories stay denied permanently. Accepting and rejecting are equally accessible, and you can change your mind from the preferences.
If new purposes that require consent are added, we will update this information and ask for your choice again. When the version of the notice changes, the notice is shown again.
